December 5, 2007 was an exciting day for us...our daughter, Elisabeth, was born AT HOME unexpectedly!  An off-duty EMT delivered her, a turkey baster cleared her lungs and a shoelace tied off her umbilical cord!  We made the local paper and with the help of the Associated Press, Elisabeth and I experienced 15-minutes of worldwide 'fame' via the internet, radio and newspapers for the next week.  Crazy!  So, now we have 2 kids (Jack is 4) and are getting used to life with a newborn.  We're doing great here in the UP.  Hope that everyone else is doing the same.
